The primary principle of healing is Love. One of the best ways to verbally express the power of Love is through “praise.” Consider the following passage upon which this "Praising Prayer" is based. It comes from Mrs. Emma Curtis Hopkins, a renowned spiritual teacher known for her extraordinary ability to heal through the power of the spoken word:

This Chanting Hymn is also a "Posture Prayer" designed to facilitate healing by lifting our spirits into a higher state of consciousness. With a little practice you should be able to coordinate the bodily postures shown with the lyrics of the chant. Pay close attention to how you feel as you are performing the prayer. Notice the changes that occur to your emotional state with each repetition.

Once you have mastered the basic prayer of "praising your life in the name of Love," then begin creating your own prayers by filling in the blanks as instructed by the footnotes below.

x

1.X

Use the name of any person, place, object, condition, circumstance, organization or institution that you wish to either praise, raise or experience a healing with.

2.X

Use the name of any Quality of God, such as Peace, Beauty,Freedom, Joy, etc. Or, you can use the name of any perfected being such as Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, Buddha etc.
x

Alert: This process is highly effective even without the music. So, if you are unable to remember the melody or read the musical score above, simply perform the postures and speak the lyrics out loud in a chant like manner.

Following are a number of ways to use this prayer on a personal basis:

Pray this prayer everyday as part of your ongoing spiritual practice. Begin your day by praising your life, your mind, your body, your mother, your father, your family, your friends (by name), your neighbors and anyone or anything that spontaneously comes to mind.
.

Use this prayer whenever you are upset with some individual or organization. Simply start praising them “in the name of Love” until your upset falls away. The harder it is to praise them, the greater the healing effect will be.

Use this prayer for anyone you know who is need of healing. Simply close your eyes and hold an image of them surrounded by white light as you perform this prayer. Continue praising them until you feel "at peace" about their condition.

This prayer is especially powerful when performed as a practice with small groups. Following is the process for doing this:
x

x

Next: Have one member of the group stand in the center of the circle.
x

Next: Have the person in the center say their first name and the quality of God that they want to be praised with.(Love, Joy, Peace, Beauty, Freedom, Wisdom, etc…)
x

Next: Have the group perform the "Praising Prayer" for the person in the center using their first name and the Quality of God they have selected. Perform the verse three times followed by an "Amen."
x

Finally: Have the person in the center return to the circle, and then have another member of the circle step into the center and repeat the process until every member of the circle has been praised and raised to a higher state of consciousness..

This prayer has been found to be very effective in producing "remote healings" when used by small groups. Following is the process for doing this:
x

First: Have the group form a circle
x

Next: Have a member of the group who has a friend or loved one in need of healing stand in the center of the circle.
x

Next: Have the person in the center of the circle tell the group the "first name" of the person who is in need of healing. Do not have them say anything about the condition that needs to be healed.
x

Next: Have the person in the center of the circle close their eyes and hold an image of the person in need of healing being surrounded by "white light."
x

Next: Have the group perform the "Praising Prayer" for the person in need of healing. Use their first name and praise them "in the name of Wholeness." Perform the verse three times followed by an "Amen."
x

Finally: Have the person in the center return to the circle, and then invite any other member of the group who has a friend or loved one in need of healing to step into the center of the circle as you repeat this process.
x

Note: In this process, the person in the center of the circle serves as the spiritual connection to the person in need of healing. The healing power of the group is then transmitted through the person in the circle to the person being healed.
