What
is the color of evil?
Evil does not operate as a separate color within the Spectrum
of Life. It is an activity that takes place within many of the colors,
in order to produce the experience of pain and suffering in our lives.
The appearance of evil tends to take place primarily in the lower colors
of the spectrum. These are pink, orange and yellow. This is not to say
that these colors are evil, or bad. It is simply to acknowledge that
these are the realms where we experience pain in our bodies and suffering
in our mental-emotional being.
Although
the experience of evil is bad, the purpose of evil is good. This
is because it drives us out of the darkness of our primal nature towards
the light of God. This journey depicted in the Path
to Everywhere illustration.
Are
some colors more spiritual than others?
The answer to this question
is: NO! Every color has its place within the full Spectrum of Life.
Every color offers us experiences that are absolutely necessary for
our soul's evolution. To say that one color is better than another would
be like saying that high school is better than grammar school. It may
seem that way when we are 16, but not when we are 6.
This is why
it is important not to judge others, or become prideful, on the
basis of the experiences that they are going through. Even though we
may appear to be ahead of someone else on the path, we can be assured
that there are also those who are ahead of us.
If
white is the sum of all colors, why don't I get white when I mix a bunch
of colors together?
The answer lies in the distinction
between the color of light, and the color of an object illumined by
the light. In other words, an object that is black is absorbing
every color in the full spectrum of light. Whereas, a white object is
reflecting every color in the spectrum. By this same principle,
a blue object is absorbing every color in the spectrum except
for blue, which it is reflecting.
Consequently,
when you mix a bunch of colors together, the object you are mixing
them on will become increasingly blackened. This is because it
is absorbing all of the white light around it.
Why
don't these colors match the meanings given by other books or teachers?
The color system being used on this site is generally consistent with
the vast majority of esoteric literature on the subject. Even so,
this spectrum is not intended to compete with, or contradict any other
system of color healing. The colors selected are being used
strictly as a communication tool in the same way you might color
code a complex wiring diagram. As you explore the many illustrations
and icons on this site you will begin to see the significance of the
colors.
Why
is pink used instead of red to represent the lowest color on the spectrum.?
Pink is a derivative of red, and is much more attractive to use in the
coloring of the icons. At a deeper level, it should be understood that
pink is the color of healthy human tissue. This does not apply to the
color of a person's skin. It applies only to those tissues unaffected
by pigmentation. The best example is the tongue. Every healthy human
being, regardless of race, creed, color or sex, has a tongue that is
pink. The importance of this is underscored by the biblical scripture:
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue."
...Proverbs 18:21
Therefore, every man, woman and child has the power of life and
death in their tongue. This is why prayer is such a powerful tool. It
is the means by which we use our tongues to speak a greater abundance
of Life into our life.
